Jean's Recipe

Cake Base
2 oz soft margarine or butter
2 oz granulated sugar
2 oz self-raising flour
1 tblsp drinking chocolate or cocoa
1 large egg
2 yolks of egg
1 tblsp water

Whisk together with a mixer.
Place in a greased pan and bake in a microwave for 4/5 mins until springy.
Place on ovenproof serving dish.

¼ pt custard
1 tblsp drinking chocolate or cocoa
1 tblsp alcohol to your taste - usually sherry, amaretto or hazelnut liqueur

Mix together, pour over cake base.

Meringue Topping
2 whites of egg
1 oz caster sugar

Whisk egg whites until soft peak stage and fold in sugar.

Spoon meringue over custard.
Flash bake in hot oven to brown top.
Serve hot.
